Short answers about how JobEasi works.
Getting started
What does JobEasi do?
It finds open jobs from employers' own job boards, keeps your answers ready, and tracks every application in one place. With assisted apply we fill the employer's form and you review and approve every answer before it is submitted.
Do I need to upload a resume?
Not to look around. You can browse and save jobs without one. Uploading your resume lets us list your experience as facts, which we use to match jobs and to help you write answers.
Which countries are the jobs in?
The jobs are mostly US-based for now. Candidates from the countries listed on our home page can apply to them, and we show the jobs to everyone. Each job carries a note about whether it looks open to people outside the US. More countries are planned.
What happens to my answers in the quick quiz?
They stay on your own device until you create an account. After you sign up, they are saved once into your job preferences, and you can change them any time in Preferences.
Finding jobs
How do I narrow down the jobs?
On Discover, search job titles, then use the chips: Remote, Hybrid, On-site, Open to my country, Following (only companies you follow), Past week, and Fits my level. You can also sort by highest pay or, once you have confirmed facts, by best match.
What can I type in the Place box?
A city, a US state by its name or its two-letter code (California or CA), or a common nickname such as NYC, SF, LA or Bay Area. It looks for those words in the posting's location, so a job that only says "Remote" will not match a place.
How do I follow a company?
Open a job and tap the company name, or use the buildings icon on Discover to browse companies. On the company page tap Follow for new jobs. You can follow up to 25. New jobs from them show on Home and on Notifications. We never email or message you about them.
I tapped Not interested by mistake.
Open Saved jobs and choose Hidden jobs at the bottom. Tap Restore to Discover on the job and it comes back.
Can I share a job with a friend?
Yes. Open the job and tap Share. Your phone's share sheet opens, or the link is copied. Your friend will need to sign in, and then they are taken to that job.
Why does the pay look different from the posting?
Pay is shown in US dollars, as the employer lists it. Some postings give an hourly rate, and we show the full-time yearly equivalent (the hourly rate times 2,080 hours). Those yearly figures are estimates, not offers.
Your resume and facts
How is my resume read?
Two AI services read it: Claude (made by Anthropic) and Gemini (made by Google). Gemini double-checks what Claude read. You agree to this when you start. We list what your resume says as facts.
Are my facts used straight away?
No. Nothing is used until you confirm it. Open your facts to review them, and confirm only what is right.
Which files can I upload?
PDF or Word (.docx), up to 5 MB. Old .doc files, pictures and password-protected files are not supported. If your file is one of those, save a fresh copy as PDF or .docx and upload that.
A fact we read is wrong. What now?
Tap Remove on it, and do not confirm it. Facts marked "Check this" are ones the two readers disagreed on, so look at those first. You can also upload a newer version of your resume at any time. It adds anything new and removes nothing.
Applying
How does applying work?
You choose a job and start an application. We show your saved answers and a tailored draft. With assisted apply we fill in the employer's form for you, you review every answer and approve it, and then we submit it. Every submission keeps proof in your audit trail, and you can see exactly what was sent.
Do you apply for me?
We help, and you stay in charge. We fill in the form, but you review every answer and approve it before anything is submitted. Nothing is sent to an employer without your approval.
What does the draft use?
Only facts you have confirmed. Every sentence points back to the fact it came from, and anything we cannot support from your facts is left out or flagged.
What does "May need US work authorisation" mean?
The posting suggests you need the right to work in the US, or to be on site. It is only a note to help you decide. You can still apply.
What is "How your facts line up" on a job?
A plain comparison of what the posting asks for with your confirmed facts: the skills and tools it names, the years of work it wants, and the schooling it mentions. It only looks at words written in your facts, so it cannot see what you have done but not written down, or how well you did it. It does not use AI and employers never see it.
Will I be reminded to follow up?
Yes. If an application has had no news for about a week, Home shows a reminder with a short note you can copy into your own email. You can also snooze it.
Employer replies
How do I find out when an employer replies?
Employers reply to the email address you used on the application, so check that inbox. JobEasi can also watch for replies and show them on the Employer replies page: interview invites, assessments, offers and rejections, each with a suggested stage for your Tracker. You always confirm the stage; nothing moves on its own.
What is the dedicated email address?
On paid plans you get an address like name-ab12c@our domain to use when you apply. Employers write to it, we recognise the reply and pass the full email on to your own inbox, so you never miss one. If you reply, it goes to the employer from your own email address.
What do you keep from my emails?
A short summary only: who it came from, the subject, the first few words and what kind of reply it looks like. Never the whole email. Our team cannot read your replies, and you can delete any of them.
Can I connect my Gmail or Outlook?
Yes, from the Employer replies page: the free plan lets you connect one inbox and paid plans two. We look for emails from employers you applied to and keep only a short summary of those. Other mail is glanced at briefly to spot employers and then forgotten, never stored. We only ever read: we never send, delete or change anything in your mailbox. Disconnect any time and we remove our access (for Gmail we also revoke it at Google).
What if a reply is matched to the wrong job?
It happens when an employer writes about more than one role or uses a hiring tool's address. Open the reply from your Tracker to check, and just ignore the suggested stage if it is wrong. Matching never changes your Tracker without your tap.
Credits
What is a credit?
One credit is used when an application is submitted. Failed applications use no credit. Browsing, saving jobs and reading your resume do not use credits.
How many do I get?
You get 25 new credits each day. Unused credits carry over for 90 days.
Could I be charged twice for one application?
No. Confirming the same application again does not use another credit.
Privacy and your data
Who can see my resume and facts?
They belong to your account and are private to it. Your resume is read by the two AI services above so we can list your facts.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. In Profile, choose Download my data.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. In Profile, choose Delete account. It removes your account, resumes, facts, answers, applications and credits for good, so download your data first if you want a copy.
Something is not working
My resume would not upload.
Check that it is a PDF or .docx under 5 MB and has no password. The message on the upload screen tells you which of these it was. If it says reading is not available right now, your file is saved. Try again later.
I did not get my sign-in email.
Check your spam folder, then ask for a new link. A link works once and expires soon.
A job says "No longer listed".
The employer has taken the posting down, usually because the role was filled. We keep it in your Tracker so your record is complete.
A job I expected is missing.
We read jobs from each company's own job board. If a company is missing, use "Add it" at the bottom of Discover and we will review it.
