Get ready for 2027 internships

A short guide to applying, and the newest open internships. Summer 2027 roles are listed first as companies post them.

Start earlier than feels necessary

Many companies open applications for summer internships months ahead, often in the autumn before. Others hire later. Check each posting for its own dates and set a reminder.

Use what you have

  • Class projects, clubs, volunteering and part-time jobs all count as experience.
  • Write results, not duties: what you built, improved or organised.
  • List the tools you used, but only ones you can talk about.

Apply in batches

A steady handful of well-matched applications each week works better than one big push. Our tracker keeps each one and reminds you to follow up.

Prepare for the screening

Expect a short call or a form, then an interview with a couple of behavioural questions and, for some roles, a small task. Practise with our free interview question tool.

Check eligibility

Some internships need US work authorisation or enrolment in a degree programme. Read that line in each posting before you apply.
